Minor Variances

If your project requires a small change to the zoning by-law, you can apply for a minor variance.

Questions to consider:

1. Is your project only requesting a minor change from the zoning requirements?
2. Is your project appropriate and desirable development for the area?
3. Does your project respect the general intent of the zoning by-law?

Before you submit your minor variance application, please consult with Village staff to discuss your proposal, confirm all variances that may be required and identify any documentation needed to support your application. You must complete an application for a minor variance before the Committee of Adjustment can accept your application.
